Artist of the Month: Christi Smith Scofield President and Founder,
PFF Entertainment and creator of Sexy Slang Christi Smith Scofield went from
playing corporate games to creating sexy board games that are sold at Barnes
& Noble and other n
ational
retailers.
Corporate
Life Before she escaped from Corporate America, Christi worked as
a technology executive at companies including Hewlett Packard for more than
ten years. But she never really felt like her heart was in her work.
A
Career-Changing Party The inspiration for Christi's new career as
an entrepreneur came from her always-active social life. Looking for a way
to liven up a party she was hosting for friends at an Aspen ski house, she
came up with the idea for an adult version of charades. That game eventually
became Sexy Slang, the first product produced by Christi's company, PFF Entertainment.
Sexy
Slang Leads to Financial Freedom Today, Sexy Slang is available in
more than 1,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada and has inspired additional
games and a line of apparel featuring pictograms from the game (this one's
my favorite so far). Christi has been featured in publications from BusinessWeek
to Playboy and she even had the opportunity to play Sexy Slang on-air with
CNBC's Donny Deutsch. Escape Can Be Fun Christi originally named her company
PFF Entertainment after her early mission as an entrepreneur, "Project Financial
Freedom." With a lot of creativity and hard work, she has achieved that goal
and is having a blast setting new ones as she expands her business in new
directions.
Remember
Christi's story the next time somebody tells you that work isn't supposed
to be fun or that playing games is a waste of time. Find out more about Sexy
Slang and PFF Entertainment.
